Do people run away when you do? Or, do they sit down to enjoy?

I do enjoy singing.  I don't know if anyone gets up and leaves.  I am too busy looking at my hymnal.  I certainly hope they don't leave or they would miss out on my sermon.

        And I'm betting you're a fine instrument at that, B.C. big_smile

(Yes, that was meant as a compliment.)

I can carry a tune, but I can't really sing at a professional level or anything. I do like doing karaoke.

I am a jailbird singer, always behind a few bars and looking for the right key.

I hadn't heard that one! lol

As for me, yeah, I sing.  People usually don't run; they're simply paralyzed in place.

I LOVE to sing! Honestly I have no idea if people would run away (I don't subject anyone outside the house to that), though I wouldn't blame them if they did. I used to be halfway decent as a backup singer, but I got way out of practice and beat up my voice using voice recognition software for rough drafts of a lot of my work 8-15 hours per day. My husband will sit and listen to me, and has even occasionally told me my singing sounds marvelous...but I honestly think his good friend Jim (last name Beam) told him to say that.

Yes, I sing barbershop with a large group, not a quartet. It's hard work but rewarding to entertain an audience. Some of our routines verge on musical theatre.

Why not look at my hub on the benefits of singing, or go to Youtube and look at some of the top barbershop choruses. I think you'll be surprised at the entertainment, including the choreography!

In my college and school and peoples said me that you have to take part in some singing contests.
