The Winter Blues

   What do you do to fight the winter blues?  And I'm not looking for the typical, medical answers.  What do you really do to cheer yourself up when it's cloudy and glum outside for months on end.  I need some ideas!

      Make a huge pot of your favorite soup. Watch reruns of CSI Miami. Dance to the intro music and to all the music played throughout the entire show. Laugh. Hug somebody. Plan your summer vacation. Then get out of the house and have some fun!

      I'll be watching for the good answers as I am smack dab in the middle of the winter blues and it's very unsettling. I have my animals and I'm eating well enough. I'm just sad alot of the time.

         I hear you Actioncameron.  We had a few days of nicer weather (40's and 50!) and now it's back into the teens.  Phooey.  Here it is mid-day and I'm still in my pjs.  But it's because I've been writing all morning. ;0)  So that's not so bad.  My dog and cats are snuggled around the portable heater. <sigh>  I think it's time to go hop on the ole exercise bike...looking for some endorphins.

   Cloudy + glum + cold = CHILI DAY
   
   Make a big ol' pot of chili, cook it all day, and when it's ready - you won't be hungry, because you've been sneaking spoonfuls of it while it simmered all afternoon.
   
   Well, that's just me
   
   stew also works...

   Another thing one might consider is to get one of those cheap airline tickets down here to the virgin islands and spend the winter on the beach. and in a very small six hundred a month cabin.
