2 or 3 days, between 4 to 6 hrs a day.But I'm pedantic. I usually get everything ready off line. text, pics, videos, links etc. while doing the research and then it takes another 2 hrs at least to type in a construct the hub. Plus a lot of tweaking over the next few days.

Depends on the person, the accurate nature of the hub, how much is needed to be complete and many other factors.

I've written hubs inside of hours and some it has taken weeks.

    Hope that help. smile

You get faster as time goes on and you learn your way around the capsules.

I write about things I already know, so my research is only fact-checking rather than starting from scratch - that helps.

By the way, please don't use photos from Photobucket.  Most of the photos on that site have been stolen from other photographers, so it's impossible to check copyright.

I use Flickr for everything - just use their Advanced Search, click on Creative Commons and you'll find hundreds of photos you can use.

I never knew that about flicker.  I thought everything there was private!  Thank you Marisa.

I agree, it can take me a few hours to several weeks depending on my research and time frame.  Really it's what you want to achieve out of hubpages.  Given time and effort it's very benefical.  Anyway, good luck to you.  Hope this helps.

Same here with me. I only write things I already know about or  have some sight knowledge about and then research the bit I don't know.

The ones that take longer are usually my short stories. smile

Many of my hubs have taken 15-20 hours of research and writing.  This is especially true if I am taking my own photos.

On average, even when I know the topic I am writing on fairly well, I still spend at least three hours researching, writing and editing each one.  The least amount of time I have spent writing a hub is about 45 minutes.

Marieryan, I noticed we have close to the same amount of hubs. So far, it's taking me about a day (7-9 hours) per hub. For now, I'm sticking with topics I know, so I don't really research anything from scratch. If I run out of topics I have existing knowledge of, I'm sure that time will increase.

It takes me about a day (6 - 8 hours) per hub, unless it's a short one, or a poetry. Sometimes two days if I have to do a lot of research. Generally the research goes quickly, though, as I enjoy it.

If I'm on a roll, it can take less time, though (or just get longer, lol).

My "Tickle Belly Farm" hubs take an average of 6 hours. Since part of the hub is about our animals and farm, that part can be easily written. But I always include a craft, game or activity that somehow ties everything together. Finding the right thing can take awhile. I also make the craft and take pictures of it as I go along. Finally, I add an old children's story from the 1920's and transcribing it can take awhile. It can be a lot of work, but I admit that I enjoy it.
