Hi there,
I am going to take the 30 in 30 days challenge and was wondering if anyone has noticed any ranking or performance difference between using hyphens or not in your hub URLs?

Thanks in advance!
Google and other search engines consider hyphens (-) as word-separators. By using them you make your urls more readable for both people and search engine robots. The same is true for plus signs (+), but don't use underscores (_), as they are not considered word-separators by search engines.
In a word, there's a reason why everyone uses hyphens.
As far as Google goes Matt Cutts, who works for Google, has posted a YouTube video where he says that dashes and hyphens are treated as word separators and underscores are not.
I was going to post the link until I seen thats not allowed here.
If you would like to watch you can Google "Should I use underscores or hyphens in URLs?" to easily find it.
ok here is the link to the Matt
Cutts video. Consider this to be the official word on it from Google, straight from the horses mouth.

For example (not a real hub) hubpages.com/notarealhub is what I would use as opposed to the recommended hubpages.com/Not-a-Real-Hub which to me looks really ugly. However, I've begun to notice that pretty much...

I looked in the search through forums but couldn't find an answer for this so I decided to post a thread. Hope I didn't over look a thread. If I did, read my question and post the missed thread and I will read it. My question is: Is there any significance in a domain being one word (many words...

I am new to Hubpages and created 2 hubs to try it out. I made the mistake of removing the hyphens from the hub name and don't know if they can be put back? Obviously I do not have spaces between the words which is not good. My hubs are:...
