   Hi, Is anyone concerned with work posted on hp being "stolen" and used elsewhere? Or is this just paranoia?

      I have had work stolen and had to file DMCA complaints but any site you write on will have the same concerns, I also have mine copyrighted so that a harsher sentence could be passed should they choose to use my work without my permission.

      You are protected by HP but you are better protected if you also take care of your writings avoiding all of the headaches.

   Hi all
   
   HubPages doesn't copyright your stuff for you.  They do run regular checks to see if anyone has copied your Hubs, and will let you know with the little 'c' symbol on your Hub.
   
   However, they won't do anything to get the offending copy removed.  That's up to you.  The correct way to do that is to file a DMCA notice.
   
   This Help page tells you how to file a complaint with HubPages (if a Hubber has copied something), but the same principle applies to any other site:
