   Anyone catch that show on Discovery last night.  Friggin' bionic suits.  How cool is that.  It is time like this I wish I was bloody rich so I could get one.  LOL.
   
   no, so there are is this 450 lb. suit that you can put on, like some comic book hero, and literally, you could lift five hundred pounds without a sweat, walk 10 miles without killing yourself etc.  It is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. 
   
   And the jet packs,  invented in what the 60's for space flying.  Anyways we know that didn't work out too well but now they are making them lighter and faster out of carbon fibers and stuff.  Anyways....
   
   The problem is they run on hydrogen peroxide (no shi* huh) but they can only fly for about 45 seconds.  Anyways, they was sayin' that if soon enough they will have them so they can fly 65 miles in 5 minutes. 
   
   Think about how cool that would be.  You could leave for work five minutes before you need to be there, and commute 30 miles in a couple of minutes, door to door.  Hang up your jet pack and get started.  What!!!!!!
   
   How am I going to make a million dollars.  Man I want one.

   Yes Sandra, I have to admit that I am a Science Channel junkie and I saw the same show. I particularly like watching their astronomy shows on Tuesday nights and the SciQ Sunday shows. Lately I've been fascinated with the alternatives to fossil fuels they've been featuring.

   A crazy Swiss guy is planning to cross the English channel using his home-made jet wings. If you get a chance ti see the video of him flying, it is amazing. He is clearly insane

   Well the world is advancing in terms of technology.But i think our future lies in Biotechnology.What we need to concentrate on is not just travel,but how we can genetically modify our surroundings,even ourselves.If we can tamper with our DNA enough,we will be able to fly,literally.

      I don't think with all the knowledge in the world that tampering with DNA, we would be able to grow wings.  If we did grow wings for some reason I would think it would come by way of a natural process. 
      
      I can see biotechnology being good, but did you know that when we was messing around with wheat and genetically engineered a strand that would grow with less water, that it ultimatly changed the wheat and released a dormant bacteria or virus or allergy (something or other) and caused many people to get sick?
      
      When they foudn out, they tried to contain it and detroyed all the crops.  But until this day because of it, much of our food is genetically engineered.  I think about 80% of everything we eat is altered in some way. 
      
      Also note, that soy milk...you know where the label says organic soy milk, is also about 89% genetically altered. 
      
      Anywyas, there are some things that we cannot do and growing mixing our DNA with an aviary will, 1. not work because it is impossible thus far, and 2. probabaly create some new disease. 
      
      but I am not scientist.

   called 'Frankenstein', which is why genetically engineered food
   is sometimes called Frankencrops.

   I saw that on Discovery and I was like "OH SNAP THAT'S FRIGGIN' AWESOME!" so I went and told all my coworkers at Domino's about it, and they were like "OH SNAP THAT'S FRIGGIN' AWESOME!"

   I love watching Discovery and Science and Sci-Fi channels. And the History/History International channel. But I hate the news. xD
   
   knolyourself: Can I fly through your window at 3 in the morning just for kicks? Come on, it'd be fun!
   
   As far as bioenginering human DNA goes... That's not what Frankenstein did; he made a man out of dead human body parts then brought him to life using natural electricity. Which is still freaky. But tampering with human DNA could lead to serious disaster if we're not super-duper careful.
