I'm curious as to how many people have thoughts on Mountain Dew, the effects of it, and their opinion on the taste of it. I personally am a caffeine addict, mostly by necessity. However, I can drink caffeinated products and go straight to bed (if I have time)

Just let me know what you think smile

Mountain dew has more sugar content than Coke, it is the sweetest carbonated drink, but it tastes good

Mountain Dew is probably my favorite soda. I've never had a problem going to sleep or had any negative side effects from it. Then again, I don't go crazy with it or drink it 24/7 (Had a friend who did that and got UTI after UTI)

I think it's fine, as long as you drink it in moderation.

I hold the record as far as friends go, I recorded from Jan 1 one year to Jan 1 the next, just how much caffeine I drank, and I am ashamed to say, I drank on average 2 two liters a day making my caffeine consumption over 35k ounces of mountain dew that year, I have slowed down to about 3 20oz bottles every day during the week, and 2 on weekends, still too much, but hey, it tastes good smile

Personally, I would advise against the use of high caffeinated drinks.  It is an addictive stimulant and "unnaturally" increases heart rate.  These types of things that stimulate the body in such a manner are harmful in the end.  Just a thought, though. smile

I do know people who like it, are rather addicted...

Unfortunately, I discovered my problem while driving.  The third time it happened, I figured out what was going on.   Nothing like driving along the edge of the road at 25 miles an hour because you can't seem to keep the car going in a straight line at any higher speeds.

I think high would be better.  smile

I suppose I should weigh in on the Mt. Dew question.

I can't help it. I know how unhealthy it is; I know how much sugar it has...It's radioactive green for heaven's sake--it CANNOT be any good for me.

But I love it. Oh man, there is NOTHING like a good, cold Mt. Dew--its supersweet, fizzy greenness tingling past the tastebuds.

It's on my list of things I call "Nasty Good." Spaghettios fall on this list; they are things that are terrible, but that I crave every so often.

I have never had Mountain Dew. I can't bring myself to drink something that looks like "pee". Just the color of it is a total turnoff for me. It may taste great, I have no idea, but visually I think it's gross.

When I was pregnant and violently nauseous, my coworker in the next cubicle would pour it in a clear glass and leave it on his desk. After about 2 days, I had to politely ask him to either keep it in the can or put it in a dark cup or something. He completely understood considering I looked as green as the can. I think his name was Brian. He was such a nice guy smile

Me too! Then maybe I'll actually get a chance to try it.

They make other flavors right? Why not a clear "non-pee" color? Shouldn't be too difficult. Maybe I'll start a petition smile

Mountain Dew is amazing, such fizzy carbonated goodness! But I found out it rots your teeth down the road, along with other carbonated drinks, such as soda and energy drinks. sad

The one good thing i have to say about the people at Mountain Dew...

at least no one can accuse them of false advertising.. it actually tastes like the bottled dew taken from a mountain top
