I post an innocuous hub http://hubpages.com/hub/Octopus_Tree_Eats_Car
and all kinds of "nipple slips" etc. are attached. This is extremely annoying.
What does a music video of Woody Guthrie have to do with sexy Beyonce pics?

what does miles davis & john coltrane video have to do with sexy Penelope Cruz pics and videos?

Don't get me wrong, I love beautiful women as much as the next guy. But I don't want to send people, for example, my students to look at my hubs if these are the "related hubs" because it appears that I have associated my work with soft-porn & titillation.
Side note: It would be good if you had some extra info on the http://hubpages.com/hub/milesdavis page. A biography on each.
It would also help with the optimizing the page for search engine indexing.
what do Christo's gates have to do with Jessica Simpson Sexy pics & hair styles?

I would suggest you find a way to allow people to filter this kind of content out of their related hubs. Or at least give people the choice of not allowing "related hubs".
What does Blind Willie McTell have to do with Heidi Klum's hot pics?

thanks for the suggestion. What I would prefer is if we had the ability to deny any particular related hub just like we can change a tag by clicking the X box.
Thanks for the feedback. As more closely related content is published, it tends to replace Hubs in the related Hubs list. The best way to control this list is to make high quality Hubs on a similar subject and they will begin to show up as related.
The intent of the affiliate program is to reward people for telling others about HubPages.

Last week, we announced on the HubPages blog that we are giving Hubs a makeover, and that the new Hub layout will be first tested in the Fashion and Beauty category.I am happy to say that the change is now live! Stop by some Fashion and Beauty Hubs to see it live. One thing you'll notice about this...

So I'm replying to a comment on my hub and upon scrolling through the hub (I always check for errors or how I can improve), I see the related hubs section. There are five hubs there including one of mine. What immediately got my attention is that the other four hubs has "editors choice"...

I've had links to my own related hubs snipped on several occasions (mostly blatant lists at the end of a hub), but some links have been left in place after several snips. So is it acceptable to include a link to a hub which may be very relevant to the specific content in a section of a hub, if it...

Someone wrote about the related hubs featured below their articles NOT being related. I just updated my Academic abstract hub, which shows you how to create a shortish piece of writing for submission and aimed at getting a longer article published for a conference or journal. Three of the...

At the bottom of the lens it has related hubs. Is there a way to exclude some hubs from showing there, or to encourage better (more related) ones by limiting the category or using keywords or hand picking them or something? For example, my lens on a simple wooden toy is getting horror movies...

I fail to see the need for the "related hub" section on each of my hub pages. Sometimes these hubs do not really relate to mine. Readers come to our pages to read the hubs we wrote or because they like to follow us. Pulling our readers away to other hubs is not quite fair. There are...
