Nuketown Zombies Strategy Guide for high rounds Call of Duty Black Ops 2 ( BO2 )

Updated on January 21, 2013

Okay guys so this guide is going to tell you everything you need to do in order to get to high rounds on Nuketown zombies.. From the guns to use, the strategy, perks, and everything that will help you get to those high rounds..

Also I will be writing many new guides as time goes on for this map, and other zombie maps. So check back, or follow me on Twitter @Johnrr631992 or to find out the latest news on that.

Also me and my co-leader have started a clan for Xbox 360 for Call of Duty games.. To know more about that check out .. Or message me directly on Xbox @ MKS JohnR space between mks and john..

What is Nuketown Zombies

Nuketown zombies is a very fun game mode that has been released on our favorite smaller maps. Nuketown. In that you will get to see zombies, blown up scenario, and LOTS of zombies. Also you will see Richtofen completing his grand scheme on the moon throughout the game.. If you make it that far.. Which if you follow these tips you will have no problem at all.. So here we go.

The guns you should use

Okay so after about round.. lets say.. 15 you will have PLENTY of money to get the perfect weapons set up.. So lets talk about weapons.. First off the light machine guns.. These have always been big in the zombies game modes because they pack a great punch, and have a LOT of ammo. Usually I would suggest using two or three light machine guns and always being able to survive on that.

Second.. The ray gun.. This is a very effective weapon, especially pack a punched. Not to mention if you have all the perks, this bad boy is very effective in the whole game. You will have no problem taking out huge hordes using this as an automatic weapon.

So the overall.. In my opinion the best setup is a ray gun, and a light machine gun.. These two will offset each other, and allow you to survive many rounds.

The Strategy.

Okay so the strategy.. Now this is going to be done on either of the backyards of the houses.. It can either be done on either one, and can be done in the middle until you open up the 3,000 middle bus.. Then the strategy has to be done in either backyard only. When you are going to do the strategies keep a couple things in mind..

First off, in the backyard run in a circle.. This is a very common strategy when you are playing zombie modes, and this one is no different. You will get VERY far when you do this correctly.. Run in a direction that runs by each staircase so in a situation you can go up the stairs. This provides useful is the zombies are swarming through the house from the center location, then you can run up the stairs, and be able to jump over the horde, and continue the route.. You do not need to do this every time but it will help in the long run.

NEXT.. On one of the backyard you will notice a door with a powerup behind it.. I usually wait until it is a max ammo, but open the door and get the power up. This is not confirmed but me and my teammate noticed that powerups come a LOT more often after you open this door. It is convenient for the small price of 3k.

Finally.. If you are truly getting swarmed, out of ammo, and have nothing left.. Then take on of the stair cases, go through the building, jump out, find a weapon on a wall, try to pack a punch it, but if not, just keep laying into the horde bit by bit..

Also crawlers are your friend. Make crawlers, but keep in mind they don't live forever like in past call of duty zombies games. So you will have to pay attention to that. Don't get caught thinking they last forever and end up dying.

My Video for high survival!

So the perks you can get on here are the quick revive, speed cola, juggernog, and double tap. These are all necessities, and will help you survive. Each one is crucial to get, and will each help you get far in the game.. On top of the pack a punch machine when it drops will also be crucial for you. One thing I will say is be careful when things are dropping from the sky, if you stand to close they will down you.. Wait until they completely fall, and then you will be safe to get the perks. To know when a perk will drop pay attention for the siren that will sound, and then a flaming ball comes from the sky.

Overall remember to have fun.. There is no confirmed huge easter egg yet, or strategy out there, but once there is I will be writing about it. None the less, remember to run in a circle, get the right guns, all the perks, and get the quick revive. This will allow you to survive a long way, and to have the most fun possible.

HAHA completely agree.. No point in buying the bowie knife if you are going to be buying the galva knuckles... Waste of money.. UNLESS of course you have a couple hundred thousand in the bank you are willing to waste..

(I mentioned this on another one of your pages, but here it is again)

If you've bought, or are going to buy, the galva-knuckles, don't even bother with the Bowie knife. If you've got the galva-knuckles, you'll just spend 3000 points buying a weaker melee weapon and then another 6000 getting the galva-knuckles again. If you haven't haven't gotten the galva-knuckles yet, you'll have just spent 3000 on a weapon when it would be easier to grind another 3000 points then and there to get the galva-knuckles instead of grinding 6000.

first i know my name is fun but that's my gamer tag and the light machine gun is a great idea i always have one if possible the hammer pack a punched is the most effective up into the higher rounds. the ray gun is useful for a little while even after pack a punched but i have tried this myself and the most effective weapon other than lmgs is th executioner simply because if u are able to get enough money if u pack a punch it once it turns into the voice of justice and is a one shot kill up to round 25 but after that it is only a one shot if u get really close but if u pack a punch it a second time then it gets the attachment long barrel which makes it a one hit kill at a fair distance again and u can one shot up till close to round 35 at the original distance so if I were to say the best weapons are the pack a punched hammer (sledgehammer) and the double pack a punched executioner ( voice of justice) and for those who know where the galviknuckles are that is the best melee weapon and to add monkey bombs are very useful to help fallen friends

JESUS.. It is sad, but I guess is a good selling point for xbox haha.. Being able to say, "buy our xbox and get dlc 4 weeks earlier"..That is probably and honestly the only reason I haven't expanded to other platforms yet because everything is quicker, and easier to record on the Xbox.

Ah, I bought the season pass, but me playing on the PC, and Microsoft with its greedy little DLC exclusivity deal (bastards...) means I have to wait another FOUR DAMN WEEKS to actually GET things... At least it isn't the 3 or 4 month wait the PC had for MW3 DLC pack 1, lol.

This zombies map is difficult, but compared to die rise, this is an easy zombies map lol..

Oh, don't use the sniper rifles unless you're 'barrel stuffing' with them. Every other non-shotgun is more accurate at any respectable distance. Buy Double Tap 2.0, ADS, shoot into the sky, and you'll see 2 bullets go in fairly different directions. Or shoot at a wall, and you'll see 2 impact points in spots you weren't aiming at. (Seriously though, what...)

I typically try to use only the starting pistol (M1911) and M14 for as long as I can, then as soon as I've got enough, open the truck (the one with the galva-knuckles, etc.), and then get those as soon as I can. I can typically manage to get them before wave 7. Once I get those, I try to grind points by emptying a pistol clip (if I have ammo for it) into a row of zombies, then punch a few. Wash, rinse, and repeat. If I don't have ammo, I just punch and punch and punch. If I can manage it, only get quick revive (in solo) and wait to get other perks (except jugg) until I have the galva-knuckles.

I also try to avoid using the snipers as much as possible, since their ADS accuracy is just as bad as hipfiring (with Double Tap 2.0, you can see 2 bullets go in completely different directions, pretty much NEVER where the scope is centered...). On the other hand, having the Mustang & Sally (or even the RPG) can get you LOTS of points with low ammo use, and lots of fast kills if you have Double Tap.

I don't think I've made it much past wave 20 yet, but hey, I think this is a VERY difficult zombies map. Lots of smaller areas, lots of zombie entrances.
