What is your all-time favorite video game...hands down?

No matter how far technology advances, no matter how amazing the graphics become, nothing will ever take the place of this special game in your heart?

There's nothing like the good rush you get playing a game of Space Invaders. Though Zelda rates up there as well. Many a late night I spent with those games. Then, more modern Halo rates high as does Lord of the Rings online. I don't know that I can choose but all four are must haves for me.

No brainer. Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64 is by far the greatest video game ever.

My favorite video game of all time is Tetris. I used to spend so much time playing it as a kid and it brings back so many memories of my childhood. I still play it on my phone and it makes me smile.

In my view the Prince of Persia series is the best game, because of its adventure gameplay and for its awesome storyline.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo 64 was a great game...no doubt about it...but the best game of all-time (in opinion anyway) is the Legend of Zelda for the NES...I loved everything about that game, including the packaging...it was the game that got me hooked, made me the gamer I am today.

@Pupu parida I'm sure there's an emulator out there somewhere which will allow you to play it on the PC...but I'm just not sure where it is. I'm sorry, but I don't really play games on the PC so I can't really say if the experience would be the same

Super Mario World is my favorite, that and Zelda: A Link to The Past. I play both on Super Nintendo, and they are both games that I will play and complete every few years.

Tough, tough question. I have so many SNES, NES, Sega, N64 games that I would love to mention but quite honestly the game that had the greatest affect on my life is the first Halo. Played that game so much I had to buy a new disk.

All-time hands down, it's a pretty tight match for me between Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI (aka US SNES FF3).  I love both games for their art style, story, gameplay mechanics.

Chrono Trigger gets the edge for having the New Game+.  If more RPG's had New Game + I would play them all more often.  I love grinding through a game like Final Fantasy, but I never want to play it a second time because I already spent 100 hours getting all the best weapons, armor, and magic.

But for newer games I would have to say role playing games have gotten lost in trying to match the graphics of other games and have made themselves more linear and boring with the same old uninspired stories.  The best new RPG's are on DS and keep it to the old school flavor.
