Board Games for a 12 Year Old
Board games are fun to play
Playing board games in a video game world is a refreshing experience.
Personally, I grew up on board games and cards. One day of every week, we would have family night of cards or a game. We would pop popcorn or make some other snack. It was a fun night and something I miss doing. My husband got tired of losing to me. But whenever my daughter is around we try to get a game or two in.
These are my picks for what a 12 year old would like to play with.

They will be faced with money and life decisions like buying cars, managing expenses, giving back to their community, paying for college, using credit cards, buying stocks and starting businesses. The winner is the teen that not only generates income and makes positive financial decisions, but also effectively manages their time and does good for those around them.

Since the twins are turning 12 and most of their friends are around the age of 13, this will be a fun icebreaker game to play at their Birthday party.
An outrageously hilarious party game where teens over the age of 12 can get together with their friends and families and find out funny and shocking secrets that would otherwise never be revealed! OMG! Can Boys and Girls Play Together? YES! In fact, it's a lot more fun when both boys and girls are playing together... if you get what I mean! LOL ;) What's A Good Occasion To Play This Game? You can play this game at Birthday parties, slumber parties, school socials, dance parties, summer camps, or just anytime you want to let loose and have fun! Guaranteed to make you laugh! GREAT Gift Item. Is it Fun? YES! You will have a blast playing, dancing, singing, and whatever else your imagination can dream up!
Fundex Games Quoridor Classic - As easy as checkers, and a lot more fun!
The game play is simple: on each turn, either move your pawn one space closer to the finish line, or use one of your two-square wide tiles to block your opponent's progress (you start with ten of these), but you can't completely block them in. Whoever gets there first, wins! Each game takes on its own personality, as new strategies constantly evolve.
The aim in this award-winning game is to get your pawn across to the opposite side of the playing board. But should you move your pawn or erect a fence to slow your opponent's advance? The difference is that there are wooden fences one erects to block the progress of and force a different route upon an opponent. Choices don't come easily in this game of mazes and madness. 2-4 players, ages 6 and up. The game includes 20 fences, 4 wooden pawns & instructions.
Flibbix - Easily build your own amazing board game
This is the type of game for Louis and Lynn to put their thinking caps on. Both children are creative. It will be interesting to see what types of games they create.
Flibbix isn't just a board game-it's every board game, because kids create their own! Players make the game board using a wide variety of game tiles, then create the rules by checking them off the Make Your Own Rules Sheet. Build and play for twice the fun. There are endless possibilities for game play - experiment and find your favorite.
JINX Game - Fun for everyone
Fun to yell jinxed and that person has to start all over again. A straight forward game and easy to learn.
