No Brainer Brain Cupcakes

Updated on February 7, 2015

Brain Cupcakes Are a No Brainer

Making cupcakes for a last minute party is easy with cake mix, pudding and whip cream. For the cooks who make everything from scratch, you may have gasp with the mention of cake mix. After all, making a cake from scratch is easy to do.

I love to cook and make many recipes from scratch, even without a recipe to follow. However, there are times when a cake mix simplifies a hectic day. When my child was younger, often the school or group that she belonged to needed a dessert. This she volunteered for me to make and told me the night before.

These no brainer cupcakes are simple enough for even the novice cook to make.

Sandy, these look easy and fun and they're not so scary that kids wouldn't enjoy them. I'm thinking that injecting them with a thick puree of maraschino cherries might make a suitably gooey faux blood filling. :)
