What is your favorite board game?

I love scrabble board game but I don't use the scrabble board nowadays, I use the scrabble game on Facebook instead and play with my friends. We do try and beat each others score. I like this game because it makes me think and therefore exercise my brain.

My favorite board game has to be balderdash because it challenges you to think and come up with really creative answers to such questions like in Salt Lake City it is illegal for a woman to...and other categories

I like scrabble but nobody I know wants to play with me anymore because they say I play by the rules and they want to bend them. LOL.

None of my friends like playing board games either and hate playing by the rules, they bend them to make the game easier!

Chess, play with your friend or against a computer.  Every game teaches you something new and offers endless variations.

Monopoly and Scrabble are two favourites, even if it's been a long while since I played them. Monopoly had a sense of progression as well as rewards for those buying certain properties, even punishing other players who landed on "your" spots. It was a great game about financial management rather than flat out getting to the finish line which, while it is a good objective in most games, didn't have the lasting effect that a victory in Monopoly had.

Scrabble on the other hand can be fun no matter how much vocabulary you have. Playing against someone with great intellect can be a match of wits, whereas bending the rules and having a laugh can still be just as fun. It's a game that's rules are flexible if not being played seriously, and doesn't feel overly competitive even if you do take it seriously.

I play scrabble all day long. I have downloaded the latest version of scrabble and it's very awesome. I also play online through Facebook and I just love the feeling of getting high scores.

With the youngsters I play the electronic BATTLESHIP more often than any (we like hearing explosions from missiles hitting the targets). With adults of at least 4 we play TABOO. My favorite 1 on 1 game is Checkers and then #2 would be Chess.
