      Not sure if you are still looking for an answer, but I would think it depends on what you are reading. You should discuss themes of what you have read, follow up with morals that may come into play. Also looking at both biblical and regular imagery mentioned can produce some wisdom. And it is also important to take into consideration what was happening in real life around the time the author published their work.
