Why is the last word so important?

It seems many people will fight tooth and nail, even getting physical sometimes to get the last word in.
But why is it so important?
Does the truth always come last??  Is there a set schedule?

    Dear Days Leaper,

We come across many individual. We share positive bondage with most of them, and develop negative relationship with a few of them. When we develop a negative relationship with anyone, we often start quarreling.

The last word is important as because, after we start heated exchange of words, it goes up to the pick, then come to a final end. When an altercation is limited to exchange of words--the last word is important.....The parties in an altercation, leaves their final note with the last word. How that person felt, what that person finally wants...the last word defines....

Believe it, throughout our live we share the good, bad, and ugly relationship with our fellows....That's the trend....

If you are talking with a woman, follow some really useful words, which will improve your relationship. I share it here....

    Take care,

    Nick

In an argument, the last word is not important. Usually by the time two parties get to the final word stage they are just spitting phrases out of anger, each baiting the other for another angry response. Neither party remembers what the other has said because they aren't processing the information. They are shooting for control of the situation, which never works. A person who can remain calm, focused and rational during an argument will always have the upper hand. Two persons who can remain calm, focused and rational aren't arguing.

The last word that is important is the unspoken word, the listening to the point of the other party or parties.

If you enter a room you come in with what you know. If you listen carefully, when you leave you will have what you know plus some of what others know.

If all you do is talk when you enter that room, when you leave you still have what you know but that is all.

Listening is more important that talking. I wonder why few, if any, schools teach listening. Debate club or class is the closest course I can think of that partially stresses listening.

Idiots believe getting the last word means that they won a conversation, disagreement, or argument.  Little do they know that the goal of a disagreement or argument is not to win, but to find a solution to a problem.

The last word seems like its the only word that mattered. People could get in a fight and if you say something that ends it, you seem like the winner.

It really isn't people just program themselves to think it is.
