   Yes Jesus can save you from addiction,there are still disciples walking the earth those who have been given the desire to continue doing the work Jesus assigned his dsciples to do.Jesus told his disciples that the works he did they would do and greater.Stop looking at Jeus and salvation as magic that will zap away your promblems there are those who have come thru addiction who have been given the ability to help others.Just like they where help if you have not met one of those yet stop looking you just did.email williamjordan_49@msn.com,832-322-4806 that's my personal phone number I will help you find a disciple and your area,Jesus still heals the days of mircales are still here.

   Yes, Jesus is my saviour and I do believe that he can cure and prevent addiction in individuals. A good book to read on this topic is The Cross and the Switchblade - very heartwarming and based on a true story.

   I had a doctor that I trusted give me meds for over 6 years that all were addictive....All of the sudden, he said I was going on a program, because he messed up by giving me those meds for so long. I can honestly say...God got me through all of it. Many sleepless nights from withdrawal, sickness, shaking so bad I thoght I was going to have a stroke, rocking, pulling on my hair, awful stuff....and I was awake, scared, but writing, in devotions with God...then at the end of my writing he would speak to me...and sive me scripture that applied to what we were in devotions about. I did not know where scriptures were in the bible at all...it ALL came from God. This went on for months...three tablets full of devotion and Scripture...all got me though. And one night...when I was having a really bad night...God said to me close your eyes and put your hands open towards me...at first I was like "What???" and he said it again...close youe eyes and put your open hands up...so I did...then I felt an actual touch on each finger tip. Gentle, but definitely a touch with a tingling sensation. He was letting me know he was there...all the time. I am now recovered...had no rehab...which they said I would have to go to. I almost died from this addiction to multiple medications...and God himself brought me through. Believe it...he can and will get you through, but you have to open yourself up to him, and turn it over to him, have faith, believe in him, no matter how bad it is...and it will seem REALLY bad at first...but God will get you through. Give it to him...he will carry you.

   You can save yourself from addiction through a wonderful program called Narconon. I personally know several people who went through the Narconon program and have stayed clean since then. It is in use in the prison system in Ensenada, Mexico and in the juvenile justice system in Utah - probably many others by now as well. You can find out about the program online.
   
   I'm not saying you don't need Jesus, but this problem can be handled by you.

   I think Jesus doesn't motivate you to get addicted, neither he saves you from any addiction. Being addicted to things which harm you, e.g. smoking, alcohol, other drugs, workaholic is certainly a person's choice. Jesus has nothing to do with it. A person chooses to try new things and without thinking twice about how good or bad it is. Addiction to anything mortal, or over doing anything mortal is a bad thing and is one's own 'karma'. Do not ask Jesus to save you from that addiction. Of course one can ask for courage to come out of addiction, and not to become addicted in the first place. Jesus can help you there for sure
   
   I also believe that an addiction something, which is a lever higher than current addiction could free from the one of  the addiction. Confusing..right? For example, if a person smokes and is addicted to smoke, there is a chance that he will try some other drug of higher level, e,g. grass! and will get addicted to it. It is possible then that he will no more wish to smoke a normal cigarette.
   
   What I am trying to say is, if someone is addicted and he wants to quit, he should find a greater level of addiction. My thinking is that the ultimate addiction is that of Jesus himself! So if someone gets addicted with Jesus, and can't stop thinking about him day & night; there is a chance that he will forget about everything else, which in a way help from Jesus to save from all the other addictions and from this mortal world, for that matter.

   Yes, he is my savior and I'm thankful that he did all he did for me. You see, for the past 8 & 1/2 years I have struggled with depression and cutting. For about a month I have gone without cutting. The only reason why is because I'm sick of giving in and I'm sick of hurting my body. It doesn't help and all I want to ask you is do you feel better after you give in to the addiction? Usually I never felt better. I got up to the point where I thought I could never stop. I cut myself from 5-10 times each day until I could finally go to sleep. It never helped. I just was forced to hide it and most of the time I felt ashamed. I always wore long sleeves so no one else could see, but I knew they were there. God freed me from that. I no longer want to do it and yes, it may be hard to stop...but if you really want to stop...you can. Are you ready too?  I mean really ready to? Do you really want him to save you, because if you don't want to stop than he'll save you and a month down the line you'll fall right back where you were before. But God can save you from anything. You just have to want it badly enough.

   YES!  Without the grace of Jesus Christ I never would have been able to do it alone. I have over 10 years sobriety from alcohol.  Did I attend AA regularly? No. Did I continue to trust God and get involved in church? Absolutely.  The first & second step of AA is 
   Step 1 - We admitted we were powerless over our addiction - that our lives had become unmanageable
   Step 2 - Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
   Give it to God FIRST, then he'll clean up the mess. We cannot doe it on our own.  It MUST be handed over to Him to handle FOR us.
   In my case, my Power is Jesus. I don't believe that attendance in AA/NA can save you any more than I believe that church attendance saves.  It's the power of God that delivers us from addiction.  Plus, AA/NA ARE WONDERFUL GROUPS THAT HAVE HELPED PUT MANY PEOPLE ON THE RIGHT PATH.

   No, and No. Jesus is not real (He may of been a man but he did not perform miracles, wasn't the son of god and was not the outcome of a virgin birth - come on!!!, etc, etc.) - anyone heard of Dionysus? - another mythical 'being' that shares many of jesus's characteristics - virgin birth , born on 25th Dec, 12 disciples, etc, etc. and was around way before jesus.
   The only way i have got where i am is through determination and praying for a 'cure' ain't going to do anything - they have actually done research on ill patients in hospital  and the one's prayed for were worse of as they expected results from the prayers - of course there were not any individual results from the prayers as there is very most likely no god/ allah/ tooth fairy/ etc

    Yes, Jesus is my Savior and, not only is He my Savior, but, He is my Lord.
    
    He has already saved the world and everyone in it from addiction...we just have to know how to access His salvation.
    With salvation come tools of the trade. Tools and weapons that we can use to blast ourselves out of what seem to be impossible situations and circumstances.
    
    It isn't easy because there are forces fighting against you everytime you try to advance. The good news is that those forces were defeated at the cross of Jesus Christ.  When He rose from the dead, He took all of the power out of their sails.
    
    The way we overcome is to first receive Jesus as Savior and Lord and then receive the love that He has for us....bask in His love, meditate upon His love, understand His love and enjoy His love. His love is the foundation of His power.
    
    When you are loved and you know that you are loved, strength comes into you, addictions are weakened and you have the confidence that you need to walk free of any addicton.
