   What do you do to step outside of that self-centered space in your head?
   
   Some people do volunteer work, some engage in outreach ministry, while others visit elderly neighbors. What do you do to remain grounded and remind yourself that the world does not revolve around you? (Be specific, brief, and concise.)

   I look at what's going on outside of the U.S. I get home from work and spend time with my kids before satisfying my own wants.

   I remind myself to actually talk to my friends and family (not on FB or texts etc) because I think that keeps a more human connection flowing. I don't get out much because I work at home, but when we do go out, if I see someone who needs it I help them - whether it's holding a door or giving cuts in line things like that. I try to be more observant of those around me.

   When I get stuck in me, me, me, I ask for Divine Guidance in how I can be of service today.  And inevitably someone sends a help request through on of the social networks i am on or a friend will call seeking assistance.

   First thing I do is keep my ego in check. By doing this I am assured that I will always see the beauty and worth in others, Next I keep myself grounded by always reaching out to any individual that needs to be reminded that they too are special, regardless of situations or current plight.
