I've got my opinion on soy, and aside from it being heavily under a GMO label, what does every one think of it health wise?
Well, I found out I have a soy allergy. At least to liquid soy, I found out when I tried to replace my milk with it. I try to avoid foods that have too much soy in them now.
But it's hard because most processed foods seem to have soy in them these days.
I touch on soy as a milk in my hub Milk Alternatives. As for myself personally, I think fermented soy as in tofu or tempeh is healthy if you wish to eat soy, but there are plenty of other foods like hemp that have more nutrition value in the form of a milk. Even almond milk has plenty of health benefits.
Like anything it is generally fine in moderation. I would limit intake for kids (they can have plenty, just not live on a diet of pure soy) due to some of the hormone-like compounds in it.
Well, soy as a milk is very helpful to my health as a woman of more than 50. It contains phyto hormones that are needed in women´s body.

by Meg Moon 6 years ago
I am dairy free but don't use soya milk because I have read that it is bad for you. My dad reckons it is not bad for you and all the negative stuff about it on the internet has been put out by the meat industry. Anyone know I'm feeling veyr confused?
