Exercise, preferably walking at a pace that makes you breathe slightly hard. Whole foods, fresh fruit and vegetables including onions and garlic; no junk foods, no ready made, ready packed convenience foods.
All of what Mick S said plus I've been on an Omega 1 Chia Seed regimen. I've a marginal increase in strength, lower blood sugar and much better regularity. I even did a hub on it.
yes there are exercises for that. jumping is one of them. but breathing exercises help most.
