It destroys the smoker & the people who surround him.
Their health, money & happiness.
Smoking is very unhealthy. It is very well known that the smoke contains over 6000 chemicals which harm not only smoker but also those who are in vicinity of person who is smoking. Smoking effects every part of the body, it can cause cancers from mouth to lung, it can destroy your respiratory system and circulatory system. you must have seen those who are chronic smokers are always coughing and short of breath. Also smoke can cause hardening of arteries which can lead to High Blood pressure and ultimately heart failure. Due to very high blood pressure it is possible that the arteries which supply to cranium can get rupture leading to brain hemorrhage and death.

What are the benefits of smoking cigarettes?As an ex smoker I know of all the negative sides of smoking, (way too many)... which was plenty enough to quit. But are there any positive side effects, if any, that come from smoking?

What percentage of hubbers are smokers? The percentage seems quite high, though I am NOT a smoker. Writers are historically known to be smokers, e.g. Mark Twain whom I believe was a heavy smoker.

Would you feel comfortable with a doctor who you knew was a smoker?It wouldn't worry me, but some people I suspect would have less faith in a doctor who they knew had such a dangerous habit/addiction. If you know your doctor already does has it put you off having him as your doctor?
