Do you like yourself?
It's not such a silly question. I've been through times in my life when I didn't particularly like myself and it was during those times that I didn't thrive. Now I have more confidence and like myself a lot and I'm doing really well in life. So, do you like yourself?
Yes, I do. I would choose myself as my best friend..lol. Jokes apart, I am satisfied with the person I am, while never ceasing to wanting to be better, in every way I can.
I really don't think this is a silly question. There are many, including myself...who have struggled with this concept, and acceptance of oneself? As Edlira said, bettering ourselves. I believe this is striving to put, our best foot forward:)
'Putting our best foot forward' and 'wanting to be better', I couldn't agree more with both of you!
In general, yes. But it took me some years before I learnt to love myself. It is in accepting myself for who I am that I could learn to like myself, then value and love myself for being just me. Life has thrown me a few curves but hey, I am still here!
Keep smiling!
i think i like myself with all the imperfections and flaws because i am honest and willing to learn!
absolutly. took many years of deep insight into myself but yes I found out that I am not really all that bad.
I hear you.
But yes, I do like myself. Alot.
I enjoy my own company, I look after my body and my Self, I take myself to the movies, shopping.. I have fun with me and I can laugh at myself.. and I treat myself, often. Its a great place to be!!
I love myself.
I think everyone should, but probably not to the point where there's no point of reference, or to the point of getting self-obsessed
I Love My Self and i love my life
Beacouse this is GOD awarded me i am realy thankfull to my GREAT GOD
I like myself, but i know there's always room for improvement y'know. Everything i do could be better, and the "be happy with who you are" thing tells me that i should just stop improving. It's just how i take it, how my mind works, extremes. So, i am quite harsh on myself, but i don't really feel it because somewhere deep down, i know i've progressed, and it's a good feeling.
No I do not. I love myself. Sure there are things that I would like to change about me, but when you start to except who you are, and what you can accomplish, like I do, then you can start to feel good about yourself, and that like will turn into love. You have to first learn to love yourself, before you can like someone else, because the flaws you point out about another person, you may be pointing out in you.
I do not know.soemtimes I like myself and sometimes i do not like myself. it is very special/
Nope. I'm a 173 IQ brain in a body that's falling apart before it's hit its third decade. I'm pretty much a roiling stew of inadequacy, hatred, and self-recrimination. But, hey, nothing like Thanksgiving dinner without vehement confessions and that awkward silence to follow, right?
nope not silly at all we all go through that phase in life... with that said I LOVE MYSELF!!!!
Like you, I have been through times when I did not like myself. Right now, I do. I know myself well enough now to recognize the aspects I appreciate most.
It took me a long time to get here and a lot of soul searching but I can answer your question with honesty and confidence..... Yes, most of the time I like myself.
My friend tell me that there are three person you can only trust in this world, that is "I, me and myself" and it is true. Everytime i felt lonely i will just talk to myself and comfort myself whenever i felt emotional. In short, i love myself!
I think generally I'm not so bad but there are times when I don't like myself. I've become more self tolerant as I've gotten older but as a teenager there was a lot of self loathing. Thank God those years are behind me.

What is the difference between the ego and self?Seems to me most articles dealing with the ego, just start out with everyone knowing what the writer means. Same for articles on self. What is the difference?

Hi, everyone. Thank you in advance for reading; this is a little long-winded.When I was a kid, I loved writing books. I'd sit at the computer for hours, typing. I knew I was going to be a writer one day. Even my elementary school teacher said I had talent. When I was 22 I got a publishing contract...
