Has anyone heared the home remedy-If your kid is sick put vicks vapor rub on their feet?
it work? How?
I am a believer. Yes, I have heard this and tried it. I have used Vicks and Mentholatum. My 1 yr old granddaughter was sick with a virus and a really bad cough. The dr. didn't give her anything because anti-biotics wouldn't work for what she had. All our old standby over-the -counter cough and cold remedies have been pulled off the market, so we put regular Mentholatum on her feet and then put socks on her to keep it from getting all over everything else. It really did seem to work. The poor little thing would then come when the cough began again and raise her feet for more.
Also, I have tried it myself, and I think it helps me as well.
yep, this does work wonders. As a girl growing up my grandmother and mom used vicks all the time with me. It can be place under the feet, behind the ears, on the neck but not much as it is strong, and on the forehead.
I've never heard of that one. I do use Vicks every time I have a cough, to relieve chest congestion. It is a natural cough suppressant. I have heard of Oil of oregano, rubbed on the shins, and the feet of children, simply because it is too strong for them to take orally. This I have used, and it does help. Through the front of the shin, and soles of the feet is directly into the blood stream, and oil of oregano is a natural anti infective.
