My husband makes an ear drop concoction out of equal parts alcohol and hydrogen peroxide. He puts some drops in his ear while he lies on his side to keep it in, and stays like that for a couple of minutes. The alcohol helps drive the fluid out and the bubbling of the hydrogen peroxide gets it moving. He then drains it out and does the other ear. Takes him less than 5 minutes while he's watching tv, and says it does help him. He's a former lifeguard, so he's had a lot of experience with water in his ears. Hope this can help!
I hold my blow dryer about a good ten inches away from my head and let it heat my ears for a bit.
I sometimes do, when I swim or turn my head the wrong way when I shower.
Believe it or not, what I do is to put in a little more water into that ear, wait for it to penetrate the insides of the ears, and then turn the other side to empty it and the trapped fluid inside.
It has worked for me for so many times.
