Hi Rajan - I once heard that meds have a shelf life of up to three months beyond the expiration date, but I don't know if there is any real proof to that. I imagine meds don't truly expire right on the print date.

I would say yes for a few months. After that they may lose some potency but they don't become toxic. Many hospitals send their expired medications to 3 rd world countries.

My answer for your que. is a big NO. Y one would like to take expired medicine? expired means out of date, out of its work. How it would be beneficial to the health.

Usually, the main problem of the drug that has recently expired is that it becomes ineffective. I don't accurately know, but I think it is difficult that the drug may break down into harmful molecules. But, this is still a probability. Can you risk with your health! I don't think this is a good idea.
