My mom used to boil the rice and make it like soup. She used to put a little bit of salt and lemon in it and make me drink it. It didn't taste good but it really helped to stop the diarrhea.  She also made me have a lot of plain yogurt and bananas.

Bananas are one of the best for this.

But if you have diarrhoea, unpleasant as it is, it is actually better to allow it to progress - unless a doctor or nurse tells you it's ok to take something to stop it. I say that because diarrhoea is one of the body's ways of getting rid of something that it regards as harmful. To stop this process could result in keeping harmful bacteria etc within the gut. If you are having frequent bouts of diarrhoea it's always best to get a second opinion from your health care practitioner.

Banana does work miracle! Also try rice, apples or applesauce, and dry toast. Drink lots of clear fluid,no alcohol or caffeine. Good luck!

Banannas, cheese, and natural carob chocolate are very good. Also it is good for everyone to be taking Probiotics or Acidopholus everyday.  It is the good bacteria that kills the bad bacteria in the body and colon.  One of the best healers of the colon is green food.  Liquid Chlorophyl will heal the colon walls.  Chlorella is very good also.  Hope this helps. I am an herbalist and Iridologist. B...........
