What are some of the household dangers parents should prepare for when having their first child?
Toxic cleaners especially bleach. The smell and the use is very bad for babies. Pets make sure they are introduced to the baby the right way so they do not get jealous or too protective toward them.
Stairs when they learn to crawl.
People who smoke.
Shouting and fighting
Handle the baby delicately. Avoid falls and injuries.
Take care while feeding, choking must be avoided and managed properly, if happens.
Keep away toxic and chemical products, and keep a distance from fire and electric outlets.
Parents should not smoke near the baby and avoid passive smoking while on the road or in public places.
Do not force the baby to achieve the milestones, like making the baby sit forcefully. Always remember the baby has its own individuality and will achieve the milestones in his/ her own pace. Be a good observer and carer.
