Why is it that more couples are finding it harder to conceive?
What are the factors that contribute to this and why?
I think the main reason, is a good bulk of these couples are trying to conceive without consulting their doctor first. They think if they eliminate the birth control it'll just happen - and it does sometimes. But there is lots of fertility testing that can be done, and when you know your proper ovulation schedule, it makes it a lot easier. That and pre-conception care appointments are just as important as prenatal.
I think couples are waiting more and more to have children, before a woman at 20, 22, 25 years old was having baby, now the same woman would probably wait untill she was thirty something, borderlining 40, before thinking about having children. Well, that is the sort of thing that we can actually put an expiration date on. So, people can't expect to conceive as faster when the biological clock is ticking away like crazy.
