If you have, what did you have done if anything, to treat it?
I've had about a dozen moles removed and one turned out to have cancerous growth-beyond removal, treatment depends on the extent of growth. If it is not beyond the mole, removal and mole checks in the future should suffice as treatment. If the growth has extended beyond the mole, you should discuss treatment options with your doctor. With my mole removal, I just have to go in yearly for mole checks and be cautious in the sun.
i have a mole that is half pink half dark brown.. sometimes it gets itchy.. do you think this could be a sign of malignant melanoma?
You are describing discoloration, which is one of the "ABCDs" of skin cancer detection (http://bit.ly/5I2VKv). You should see a doctor!
