This one is funny but I think males do, Since men sweat a bit more and have less chances of changing their socks. They are prone to fungus and therefore odor.
But my mother likes to wear her sneakers without socks and has to wash her shoes daily and makes them smelly.

Yikes! I should not be answering since my experience is very limited in the area. Good luck with your research. In general, I agree with the idea that men "stink it up more" in the foot area! .... cheers!

Males-  Their stinky feet beats all.  Maybe they do not  take the necessary measures to be hygienic concerning smelly feet.

Women's feet can be equally as stinky, they are just better at hiding it from men.

I do not know, but you may go out and smell as many as you want.  Then, if you want to do so, you can tell us the results later:)

its not of male or female, but its the quality of foot sweat that defines the quality of foot odour ie, Hard, pungent or mild. so, Male & Female both can have  stinky feet of equal intensity.

The quality of foot odor is often reported as a thick, cheesy smell. Some describe the smell like that of malt vinegar. However, it can also be ammonia-like. Brevibacteria are considered a major cause of foot odor because they ingest dead skin on the feet and, in the process, convert amino acid methionine into methanethiol, which has a Sulfuric aroma. The dead skin that fuels this process is especially common on the soles and between the toes. The brevibacteria is also what gives cheeses such as Limburger, Bel Paese, Port du Salut, Pálpusztai and Munster their characteristic pungency.

Propionic acid (propanoic acid) is also present in many foot sweat samples. This acid is a breakdown product of amino acids by Propionibacteria, which thrive in the ducts of adolescent and adult sebaceous glands. The similarity in chemical structures between propionic acid and acetic acid, which share many physical characteristics such as odor, may account for foot odors identified as being vinegar-like. Isovaleric acid is the other source of foot odor and is a result of actions of the bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis, which is also present in several strong cheese types.

Well, from my experience with a Dad and a brother.......males!  No offence guys, but I think your feet stink worse, whatever the reason that may be!  Lol

It is interesting to see how men point at women and women at men. Given similar conditions, both feet will stink. The more we aerate our legs, the less the stench. Now, who of the two does it more often?
