What's the best diet for someone with ADHD?
Is there anything to avoid or are their ordinary foods that help improve focus?
I don't follow a specific diet, but I do know that red dye makes me extremely hyper! I find that caffeine helps with the concentration, and oddly enough so does smoking. My best advice is to avoid artificial dyes and additives, and I also try to avoid "Frankenfoods" (ie the processed foods with 10+ ingredients). I know there are some good books out there on this topic.
Frankenfoods... It says so much without saying anything at all.
There are a few dietary theories floating around for the ADDer as suggested by CRUSH ADD pages (http://www.addcrusher.com/). Sugar sucks, Carbs kill, Protein Power, Omegas are mega.
