What is an effective method for reducing acidity in your body?
Increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables, and decreasing the amount of meat, and other foods of animal origin you eat every day will gradually lower your body's acidity.
From what I recently learned- from having a rough weekend- last weekend! Drink lots of water! Do you have an ulcer? I must, I drank alcohol and bamm- night mare! Take a Pepcid pill- no alcohol, etc if u have an ulcer!
Reduce your intake of processed foods, no unnatural sugar. Eat vegetables, fruit and low fat protein. Provided you have a low sodium level in your body, you could try to drink bicarb soda (aluminium free of course). 1 glass per day, in addition to 1 to 2 litres of water. This helps get the body back to an alkaline state. Google this last suggestion for helpful information. 1/4 tsp in 250 mls water, easy to drink.
A natural way to get your own body to produce a more alkaline state is to drink mixture of 20ml lemon juice, 10 ml lime & 10 ml apple cider vinegar - in the morning first thing. Firstly 2 glasses of water to flush kidneys, then the juice for live
I will have to see if I can handle that conglomeration, my lips pucker at the thought - first, I'll have to convert from the metric to standard! Thank you.
There are often acidic foods, and alkaline forming foods, which can effect PH/chemistry levels of the blood. Acid foods are not always the foods with the most Acid rather they cause more Acid to manifest in the body. Citrus fruits are alkaline forming as they enter the body. I read a chart on this a while ago at one of the National Library of Medicines reference websites. Mainly Fruits, and Vegetables are alkaline forming, while alcohol, meats, nuts and certain grains are acid forming. Good Luck.
I've read that having a glass of warm water with fresh lemon juice in it every morning is very good for cleansing the system and helping maintain pH in the body. It just feels good too.
I don't know exactly by what you mean by acidity.
Our body is in a constant battle for balance. Take too many things to counter acid and your body will be unwell.
Look for balance...if it makes sense
As all cooked food is acidic, it stands to reason that eating raw foods would be the most effective method.
We generally think of eating fruits and vegetables when eating raw foods. You can also check the acidity of the foods you eat, and take the most acidic ones out of your diet. I know, for instance, that swiss cheese is one of the most acidic foods there is.
One of the most enjoyable ways that I maintain an alkalinity in my body is through green juice. I love juicing romaine lettuce and adding a little bit of fresh squeezed lemon juice to it! My kids much prefer when I add some grapes or apples to my green juice!
Smoothies are another enjoyable way to consume fresh produce. I share recipes for some of my green smoothies in various places. My Romaine and Apple recipe is at http://www.squidoo.com/apple-and-romaine-green-smoothie . My Mango and Parsley green smoothie recipe is at http://sparklechi.hubpages.com/hub/Mang … n-Smoothie .
I hope you enjoy the marvelously tasteful journey to alkalinity!
You need to avoid excess salt, oily or fried food as well as do not overeat and your dinner should be 2 hours before going to bed
Cut refined sugar from your diet as well as citric fruits like oranges and lemons. Drink plenty of milk and at least 8 glasses of water a day. Eat lots of greens but try to avoid vegetables with skin, I know it sounds weird but even the peel from a cucumber can raise the acid content in your body.
Hope this helps!
I had never heard about peels/skin of veggies being acidic. Thankfully,I prefer water over just about any other beverage. Although, admittedly, I enjoy my java each morning &the occasional glass of milk with a hearty oatmeal flaxseed cookie. Than
Drink chamomile tea. That will help your stomach to settle.
