I get a book and read! Sometimes I will end up reading for over an hour before I fall sleep, other times it takes my mind off of my normal day so much that I am asleep in a few minutes. Plus, reading is just fun, so it is a nice way to end the day.
I use my mobile phone or my laptop. After some time i will feel sleepy and then i can fall asleep within minutes.
Sleep is most easily achieved in an atmosphere of total relaxation. So what is needed is to find something that makes you totally relaxed. I usually use breathing technique which appears simple, but of great help. Take in as much air as you can (abdominal breathing) and hold it for a couple of seconds. Then slowly release all the air. You have to watch out for your abdominal movements, and what is important is you should do it not in your bedroom, use another room. Don't use your bed for work, use the bed only for sleep.
I browse hubs and socialize a bit until the wee hours of the morning until my eyes get tired.
