How soon can you get pregnant again after giving birth?

Some women want to have children in rows so that they can be done with it, while others plan their pregnancies by timing it. Some issues are : women's body and its preparation for pregnancy, age gap for children and contraception while being active.

What are some good advices about timing pregnancies?

I know of women who've fallen pregnant within 2-3 weeks of giving birth - a woman's body is often highly fertile after giving birth.

I had my daughters almost exactly two years apart, which I think is a good age gap because although it was hard at first, they get on well and I still had time to adjust after my first pregnancy.

You can get pregnant very early after giving birth. It totally depends on the woman though. Some women especially if breastfeeding won't ovulate for months. While others (even if breastfeeding, never use that as a form of birth control) will ovulate within a month.

My best advice is allow your body time to heal. They say this can take up to a whole year. Once again depending on the woman.
