What has helped you the most in your recovery from Crohn's Disease?
Not me, but a good friend was sent to us a few years ago with the problem, which we treated with:
Turmeric (actually curcumin the active component) in large doses. In gel cap form.
We used a Solgar product, which I found cheapest at kosher vitamins in NYC (they ship)
Life Plus BioBasics. (which is an MLM product, but apart from that is a good product for those who cannot eat correctly or absorb nutrients from what they do consume)
Colloidal Silver about three glasses a day, mixed with aloe vera juice to facilitate getting it to the colon, where it was needed.
If I were treating it today I would add psyllium husk to the CS drink, because psyllium is amazing stuff (buy bulk in powder form) but then I did not know about it.
I wrote after this friend was healed (he said "for the first time in years I can pick a table away from the toilets area in restaurants") I wrote to the Crohn's Association about turmeric, they dismissed it out of hand. (not part of BigPharmas program I guess)
Turmeric is cheap and is more powerful than ibuprofen for pain relief and reduction of inflammation, but is NOT instant, you need to build it up in your body, but it does work after a few days, and being natural, is safe to use. Ibuprofen is bad for long term use, Turmeric is safe...
First, I trusted in the Divine Power of the Mighty King Jesus.
Then I juiced many dark fruits and vegetables.
I drank lots of Aloe Vera juice.
Used a product called Sovereign Silver to boost my immune system.
In the first year, I had to detox my body and get rid of a lot of bad things that were inside me. In other words, clean myself out.
I took it easy on what I ate at first, like eating soft foods like bananas. Then gradually added other plant foods that I could not eat before. Until I could eat just about any plant food I wanted.
Never ate anything with animal blood or fat in it. Never ate any Genetically Modified foods, only Organic. Never drank anything but Purified Water or Fruit Juices, like Mangosteen, Goji, Noni, Acai, Pomegranite.
These have high concentrations of phytonutrients in them to absolutely strengthen the human body.
Did not eat any candies, cookies, pastries, donuts, cakes or anything else like these. Gave them up completely.
From the second to the seventh year, nothing but continued success in not having any more knive-stabbing stomach aches or vomiting (due to upper GI tract irritation).
I feel great now and never have had surgery or used prescription medications at all.
You are what you eat. So the human body must eat well to live well.

My back is a nightmare. It loves to act up about once per month and it can be downright debilitating. Does anyone have any opinions on the best pain meds? I'm talking over the counter here, will not take narcotics. What about stretching exercises? Homeopathic...
