What is the one thing You wanted as a child for your birthday and still want as an adult?

Okay, this might seem odd...But I started asking for a roll-top desk every Christmas starting at around age 8. I got it in my head that I wanted to be a writer and that I needed that roll-top desk to sit at while I was writing my books. Maybe I saw a movie, I don't know...but I persistently asked for that roll-top desk every year till I finally gave up sometime in high school...It became a joke in our family because it was way too expensive (there were 6 kids) so I had no chance of getting it. ANYWAY, I don't know how practical it would be now to have a roll-top desk-but I still would love one! Now, I'd just need to find room for it...

My husband had actually found a kit to build one several years ago and bought it I don't know how much it cost but it lasted for years until we had to move 4 years ago.

Okay, so how long have we got?
Just kidding, the circus proved too big for the living room (the trapeze kept getting tangled up with the tv aerial, and the elephants kept leaving deposits everywhere but the cat litter tray)!
Where was I? (Getting old, y'see). There was one thing - it used to be more but the cashflow problem's getting more acute these days - and that was to travel for free. Well, I can do that within the London area, (and elsewhere, but by bus only), so we're halfway there! But how about free flights around the world. Let's keep this within reason, around the north-western hemisphere.
D'you think if I promise Obama my vote he'll give me a free ticket to the US?

A high end full-sized electronic keyboard. I wanted one of those so bad as a kid and I received the cheaper small kind (cuz the one I wanted was way too expensive). I still want one now, but additionally (since it's now the computer age) one that links up to a PC to record my own music, etc. Still can't afford it either, ah well.
