Would you rather go to a good doctor and drive far; or a doctor that's closer to your home?
Keeping in mind that you're just sluggish and not in the mood to drive far to go to the doctor in the first place. Plus you'd have to time your travel with traffic, etc.
I don't see any doctors and I don't take any medications. I believe that I'm the only one who can keep me healthy. I believe that health must be holistic (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual). So I take care of myself physically by eating healthy, exercising regularly, and getting plenty of sleep. Mentally and emotionally, I make sure I manage my daily stresses using EFT (meditation and yoga work as well). I had to do a lot of work on myself over the past couple of years to resolve emotional issues from my past. The result is that I got rid of a host of limiting beliefs, found my life purpose, and am working hard in mid-life to achieve my new goals.
A good doctor and drive far. It doesn't matter the distance, it matter's how good they are.
I would go to web MD first. I see many of the young doctors are using the internet to diagnose their patients.
I'd drive a long distance for a good doctor. Then again, my idea of a "good doctor" is of one who's willing to work WITH me in treating whatever's going on with me instead of just giving me meds.
I tend to be of the school of thought that most ailments can be taken care of naturally and through lifestyle changes. Medication should be a last resort instead of the first thing tried.
I have had the same family doctor since I was about 12 years old, and his office is about a 5 minute drive from my house.. So I have the best of both, I guess.... If I had to choose though, I'd pick the closer one.. I live in Canada and seeing a doctor is free, which is fantastic- but you sometimes have to wait a looonng time for an appointment, so driving farther to see a doctor you think is better might not make a difference because they're not really going to have a whole lot of time to spend with you anyway.
i would go to the nearest pharmacy to get the medication before seeking the nearest doctor. Most of the time, i would check on the web for the medication and call up the pharmacy for the price. I don;'t rely on antibiotics so I rarely visit the doctor. Sometimes, natural ingredients such as ginger and garlic work well with minor illness.
I rarely use doctors. But when I do, I want the best. In the US, a million people a year die from medical mistakes. Good doctors are rare and hard to find. But I don't want to find myself debilitated, or paying thousands in medical bills, or dead because I felt lazy, went to the closest doctor, and they did a bad job.
i would go to a good doctor though i would have to drive far, as "Health Is Wealth" so i would not compromise on my health.
