Yes. A relative has Aspergers. He's highly intelligent and fun to be around most of the time.

Yes I have a 13 year old nephew that's Autistic. He was diagnosed at a young age, and handles it well. Just like any other teenage kid.

My parents don't talk about it a great deal, but my dad says I have autism. However I think it maybe Aspergers because of how I react to being asked questions by strangers. So much as "excuse me, would you happen to have the time" makes me extremely nervous and I start to blush.

May I ask why you've conjured up such a topic? I find it's probably a very sensitive one, and without any kind of flavour to your question, it's very uncomforting. Still I hope you find this information useful, regardless.

I've been recently diagnosed. It's actually a relief to find out because I knew something was up with me. I'm grateful to know because I'm finding people that can relate and I can fix some of the things I don't like about it.

No family members have Aspergers or Austism, but I worked for a therapist who had a lot of Asperger clients.

Yes, my daughter has Autism (Aspserger's Syndrome). She is 25 now and lives in a rest home. Though she is cognitive, she is unable to make decisions or live on her own unfortunately. Many who have Asperger's (especially men) are able to function very well. In fact, many are noted as being very intellectual in a certain subject and go on to make great scientific breakthroughs in that subject. Albert Einstein and Bill Gates are a couple of the men that are thought to have Asperger's.

I have Asperger Syndrome.  While it appears to run in my family, only my two sons and I are diagnosed.

It is unusual for a woman to be diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome.  Women tend to have less unusual special interests and are naturally more sociable.  We are often skilled at mimicking others, creating the false impression of an adequate ability to function.  This can make us difficult to distinguish as Aspies.
