What tips do you have to reduce physical stress during long drives?
I drive a manual transmission, without power steering and I sometimes get lower pack pain to cramps on my calf. Stress can definitely affect the way I drive.
Try to lower your car seat and move it nearer to the driving wheel so as not to make your leg stretched all the time, it really helped me
Stopping to walk around helps. also a snack or two is good to carry along in case of tiredness, something like a banana or a trail mix bag.
It can be tedious but get out at a rest stop every hour or 90 minutes and walk around, breath some fresh air etc. It makes a wonderful difference. Also listen to an audio book while driving. You will get so involved in the story, you might just forget your discomfort.
