What activities have you seen that disturbs you in daily life?
Some of the things that disturb me:
Lady running her finger up her nose, twisting it, then wiping it on my car seat!
Guy getting a cup of coffee from the employee station, not drinking all of it, then pouring the rest back into the pot.
Planners of restaurants rest rooms, making the door swing into the rest room, mandating all people must spread germs by grasping the handle to pull the door to the inside.
People jumping queues in supermarkets, at bus stops and at post office. Impatient people makes me mad. Show off people and snobs.
This is the #1 thing that disturbs me every day.
Where ever I am, Walmart, grocery store, post office, etc.,
whenever there is a woman pushing a baby stroller, not one person will hold the door for her while she tries to maneuver a stroller and child through the doorway.
Yet, I've seen people hold the door for someone walking a dog. (I'm a dog lover! But I also hold the door open for a lady with a baby!)
When I was physically handicapped for a while and walked with a walker, then cane, I couldn't have met nicer people. Most everyone held the door for me and were very patient with me. One day at the grocery store, I was walking down the long aisle trying to make it to the only register that was open. I had 1 item which is all I could carry as I walked with a cane. A young man, in his 20s, ran past me, stood in front of me (to hold a place in line) so that his friend who was way back in the store by the freezer section could cut in front of me with $200 worth of food. I told him off then told the manager what happened. The worst part was the cashier actually took them in front of me which resulted in the manager cashing me out for my 1 item. I'm back to walking normally but can't imagine the daily life of those who are in wheelchairs or are physically handicapped.
The increasing rudeness of the general public especially associated with driving and the use of the "finger". People have no tolerance anymore.
Speakng of driving, I've also noticed when I go downtown to run errands, people find it acceptable to drive on the wrong side of the street in parking lots. That's always confused me as it is very unsafe.
Many things mildly concern me, some disturb and others alarm. In no particular order:
* people chopping down beautiful wild flowers they perceive as weeds in their gardens.
* same people using a bucketful of awful pesticides to get rid of one slug.
* parents letting their nine year old kids run amok through the streets.
* bus drivers who accelerate away madly just when an old person is trying to get to their seat.
* politicians who spin their way around questions, never getting to the truth.
* people who jabber away on mobiles when they're in queues for supermarket.
* road rage freaks who drive shiny white Audis thinking they're Gods gift to tarmac.
* gangs of any size, shape or form staring at someone a little bit different to them.
* those who take their dogs for a walk and pick up the turds in a little plastic bag and hang it on a tree thinking they've done the community a service.
