How soon can I start going to Gym after a Laparoscopic Surgery?
A month ago I have undergone a laparoscopic Appendesectomy. can I start my fitness regime again now?
It is better to start with light exercises, such as Yoga or walking, at least for some more time. Weight training or other heavy exercises at the gym should be avoided a little longer.
I had laparoscopic surgery for Gall stones and avoided streneous exercises for 3 months. Because although the cut on the surface is very small, inside it is deep and we should allow it to heal completely.
In any case, your doctor is the best person to advise.
I just had laparoscopic surgery for gallbladder in the spring. The surgery itself went great! It was the easiest surgery I've ever had.
Just something to keep in mind. While your surgical wounds look great on the outer surface, it's still a major surgery and your body needs time to recover!
That is a question best asked of your doctor to be truly safe.
