How do you keep motivated for school, and also be happy?
I am sometimes not motivated for school and studies, and a large amount of time has gone for things such as hours on end watching YouTube videos. What should I do to keep myself motivated and driven towards school?
I am constantly thinking about how we will all just die in the end, and that there is no reason to do anything, because in the end, we will die and be forgotten. What should I do to keep myself happy?
If you have goals or ambitions in life to achieve, then that will keep you motivated and determined. But if you are already thinking of dying then that will certainly not give you any motivation or drive to do something to make your life better. I don't know how old you are, but you don't know, you might live till 100. What would you do then? In the meantime, I think you should think of what would you like to do for your future. If you are young, it is such a shame to waste your life just thinking about dying.
we all die in the end. Yes, but what matters is how we live. Keep yourself motivated and interested by taking on challenges in school or in other things that interest you. Try to learn some new skill - paint, dance ..
I got good news and bad. Almost all students suffer what you are suffering. The bad news is that about 1/3 give up because of it. The good news: those who pull themselves through are better for it.
In your learning you have just learned a solid truth. And this truth will carry you through some pretty shitty times. And the truth that you now know is that in the grand cosmos of reality we may mean nothing. Later on you will see that as a freedom.
But the really cool part is that now you must ask if this is truth (that we all just die) then for what purpose am I here. And the light bulb should get turned on. It is for joy and happiness. And the truest joy and happiness is in helping others get through this life with joy and happiness.
Now I am going to give you some homework to work into and through this, yes first into. Your feelings are valid and righteous. They are yours. Own them. Know them. Turn off the distractions and get into the thoughts and work right through them. Battle them and conquer them.
Your school work is important but this crisis is more important. It will define you for years to come. Be a victor or these thoughts not a victim of them.
I am old and still call upon the power I obtained when I battled these demons and won. You wrote this question. You are already on the road to kicking ass and taking names.
Practical steps to take are: Exercise, Nature, commit to a cause, go out and help somebody and talk to somebody about the issues you face.
I am already seeing you as you are past this and flourishing. My people need good people like you.
Oh my, it is about so much more than that and you are about so much more than that. Try hard to see the big picture, the future of your hard work. Imagine yourself as a world changer a doer. Try to look to some of the little people who became amazing mentors, advocates, and defining people of our time. It is about your future and the legacy you will create. You do this by being your best you, having faith in things bigger and better than yourself. If you believe you are no better or no worse than your neighbor and treat all with respect as you would yourself, well nothing can stop you. To see the good in all things and imagine the possibilities daily, to walk strong and confident and lovingly towards humanity. To never stop learning and teaching those that follow you. You are so bright to define your struggle for to own it is to change it. To attend to the distractions is often what gets us back on track. Merely by asking you are doing some great work toward growth. Always remembering YOU were wonderfully made, just as you are to be. God Bless

Yep...time to just stop, take a deep breath, set the computers aside and put things into perspective. It really is not all about making money, getting views and going viral. In the real scheme of things, it is about finding peace, contentment, good health, friendship and love. It...

Is it difficult for you to be happy?

Oftentimes, I will start thinking about what I want to write about while running on the tread mill. After an hour of running, I pretty much know what I am going to write about. I composed it in my head. So when I return home, I either type it up in outline form to finish at a later date or I type...

Can a belief of anything short of universal salvation, fill the soul with "joy and peace?"

If God came to you in a brilliant blaze of glory and spoke to you, directly to your face, and spoke with a divine voice and commanded you, 'I command you my daughter/son, to go out and live your life in joy and happiness all of your days' would you obey?
