This remedy is one I use when I catch cold or flu as I really don't like taking pills if I am ill. I squeeze lemon juice and mix it with pure honey and I drink this throughout the day and I try to drink more water which will help in flushing the toxins out of my body. You can mix it with warm water or can use cold water. I use warm water especially in cold weather like this days. Hope this helps.

You can boil the water if you like then put the lemon juice with the honey and drink it like you do with tea or coffee.

I sometimes have warm water with honey and lemon. Other times I have warm tea with honey and lemon.  But they are often just an additional measure I also use to try to recover quicker from a cold.

I would love to get over this flu now as we are traveling to see family. We are trying some herbal remedies since the usual treatment of flu/cold isn't enough right now.

I wrote an article pertaining to cold, and flu http://artist101.hubpages.com/hub/Is-it … or-allergy

Among the most effective home remedies are grape fruit seed extract. It MUST be mixed with water. About 2 to 3 drops in one ounce of water. It may be gargled, or dip a q-tip in it, and apply just inside the nose, right where the cartilage starts. Apply as often as needed. It kills viruses, as well as bacteria, and very effective. Ginger is a natural anti nausea prep. Effective for the flu. As well as a peppermint.
Green tea, honey, and a pinch of lemon, and ginger.Sip slowly. All anti viral as well. Zinc lozenges, every 2-4 hours for the first 3 days, will boost the immune system, and give your body what it needs to "fight" back. Do not take more than 100mg per day, as any amount over that suppresses the immune system.
A word of caution, DO NOT combine grape fruit with medications, as an interaction will, not maybe happen. Grape fruit increases the strength of medications, can result in an overdose, and bad consequences.
    Feel better soon!

Hi, it's me again. The methods and philosophy i provide to you is an ancient art of the gods; teachings that was hidden away from the populace to avoid future generation exalt into gods. I'm a natural born warlock. Born with the gift of the second sight. I developed my own techniques through the unification with my gods: AKUMA and AHRIMAN. Once Again, you do not need to waste time on medicine for colds and flus! The more you expose to medicines, the weaker you become. It's like taking drugs. As the body gets immune to the medicines, it will no longer able to resist the virus. Example, a spoil child with frequent spoon feed from their parents will eventually feel tense if left behind. Remember, i told you before, you're a child with special gift. Not easily getting sleepy is what most spiritualist sought after. A handful including me tried to stop sleeping forever so the crown chakra could ascend to the air. Finally opening the portal of the third eye and becoming like gods! you will gain everything in life easily. Only to believe and think of it; Amazing, right!? Now, let's get started. First, you must know that the mind controls all the other organs and chemical reactions in your body. Strengthening the mind means the end to all disease. On a higher level of mind control manipulation, even HIV and Ebola is curable! Whenever your colds and flus strikes, Take a cold shower for it opens your mind. Accept and withstand the coldness. The moment you feel awake, focus on your mind by opening your blocked nose. I believe a girl like you will definitely make it. Unlike you, others may find it difficult for their mind are weak. Proven all by the tendency of going to bed easily. What  i'm trying to say is: Learn and live by triggering your mind all the time. It's the way to generate more eletricity throughout the body. As the wave flows, the current will eventually become bigger. finally, unbinding the dark force and unleash you. This is the legendary way Dr.Fu Man Chu tried to gain immortality. The darkside of the force is a pathway to many abilities. Although some consider unnatural. If possible, Try stop bathing with warm water for cold water. Another method is by "Power breathing exercise". Firstly, stop breathing to create pressure in your abdomen (belly). Once you feel there's tense and suffocation, Direct the pressure to your blocked nose using your mind (don't breath!). It will open! For best results, combine both of my teachings.

That was definitely a one-of-a-kind response! In regards to the bath tub, I have found that if I turn the shower on whether I'm in there or not I can make an effective steam room that really helps me breathe so that I can sleep. Thanks4 the reply. smile
