   Colds are viral in nature. So at the first sign of a cold, sniffles, or a sore throat, suck on a zinc lozenge. Do not exceed 100mg daily.  Olive leaf extract either in capsule form, or as a liquid extract, 3x a day.       you are awesome... I was familiar with zinc and chicken noodle soup BUT I wasn't about the green tea and olive leaf... Do you think Olive oil would help or is their a specific extract for olive leaf?

      Olive oil is good for cooking, but olive leaf is a specific extract, concentrated, for medicinal purposes.

      When I worked as a pharmacy tech, there was an older pharmacist that took me under his wing, and and showed me the ropes. Awesome man, probably passed away by now.  As well as the many others that I worked with, that truly wanted to help and heal.

   Having a cold need not require a major remedy. Some ginger tea and plenty of rest can really help and to keep warm, have some nice soup and to avoid 'sticky mucous forming' foods like avocado or yoghurt.
