    Oh dear, why can't people be BOTH.  One can be happy & smart.  In fact, smart people are quite happy.  There is a correlation between intelligence & happiness.  Smarter people tend to be happier because they are highly cognizant of their environment & they have definite goals.  They also have a higher  quality of life emotionally, mentally, psychologically, & socioeconomically than people who aren't smart who have a lesser quality of life in all areas.

    If you're truly "happy" it means you were "smart enough" to find a way to live life on your own terms. Only a few people will win the lottery!
    Stupid people rarely if ever feel "happy" unless they're "manic depressive". If my only choice was "smart" or "happy" I would choose smart because I know I'd "figure out" how to achieve my dreams!

      Exactly, smart people know how to navigate their environment for the best outcomes.Smart & happy aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, these two components are related. Unintelligent people can't be happy as they don't have the awareness to be happ
