    How can I stop myself crying for small reasons??

    I am a highly emotional person.I get hurt easily and begin to cry for silly reasons.Sometimes I feel to cry for no reason.I tried a lot to get rid of my problem. Still I couldn't find a solution.What are the suggestions that would help me control my emotions and transform myself into a different person?

    Some people are by nature very emotional and may start crying easily. Being emotional is not bad but crying easily may be embarrassing at times.
    I think meditation might help you in this regard. Meditation helps you to have control on your emotions. Regular prayers also helps. Sitting in front of the Almighty and share all your inner concerns (if any) with him may relieve you .

    Hi, I used to be that way. There are many factors for this. It could be hormones, anxiety or stress. Maybe you are like me and over thinker. I now use meditation and essential oils. It made a huge difference for me. You should talk to your doctor about it. I hope you find something that works.

      Thanks Terrie.Happy that there are people like me somewhere in the world.I am a teenager and I don't know how far meditation is gonna be of help to me.Still I'll try.

      Your welcome, it was really bad in my teens and early 20 s. If you're going through normal teenage stuff, you need to talk to someone. It's amazing how much talking helps. Please see your dr if nothing helps.

    it is natural for soft hearted and kind people to cry easily over small matters, I even cry when I watch sad love stories when my friends were baffled.

    I suggest talking to a psychologist or counselor if you haven't just been abandoned by a husband, are being physically abused or had a relative die. This is not normal or healthy.

    Negative emotions like anger, fear,jealousy,hatred,doubt, worry etc., lead to sadness!

    Positive emotions like kindness, compassion, helping others etc., lead to happiness!!

    Like or accept the total, this world, then accepting or liking oneself is spontaneous leading to happiness that is freedom!! this is the teaching of Vedanta!

      Dear friend, What you said is a universal fact. But i  dont understand how far such teachings are beneficial in practical life. Sorry to say that i humbly disagree with you if you are of the opinion that people with a pure heart  dont have sadness.
