For me, yes! Admittedly, not many of my articles here are on weight loss, but occasionally I dabble into nutrition. I also run two Facebook pages for martial arts classes. Looking up new ways to exercise and eat well motivates me and gives me ideas for how to do so.
That said, of course writing won't help at all if you don't actually implement anything you're writing about, so I imagine this answer varies from person to person. Hope that helps!
