If you've ever suffered from an intense fear of flying, how did you overcome this phobia?
I have tried talk therapy and medication, but still experience a lot of anxiety during takeoffs and landings.
I bet the Sedona Method could help you with this, since it deals with getting rid of fear. It teaches techniques to use to let go of negative emotions, feelings, or thoughts. I guess it could kind of be considered as meditation or positive thinking, but you would have to work at it by asking yourself the questions of the method in order to let go of the fear or feeling anxious. I have written several articles about it.
You have to keep on doing it. You also have to have a pep talk with yourself every time you want to travel, otherwise you'll just stay at home and be bored.

I agree with you when you say to just keep doing it...the longer I go without flying, the more "larger than life" the fear becomes because it is less routine. I will look at the Facebook forum too..thank you!
