Is it fear of fly or heights as well? The only thing I could suggest is don't sit by a window and pretend you are on a bus or a roller coaster, though it would be a very gentle roller coaster.
Think about the destination you are heading to and treat turbulance the same as going down a bumpy road in a car.Its the safest form of transport
I have a friend who did courses on how to overcome her fear of flying. She still gets nervous but now flys all the time. She takes her family on weekends away, has flown overseas. The fear is still there she just doesn't let it overtake her.
Oh, and a good stiff drink helps. So she says. lol.
All you have to do is just to relax and pray. Do not sit also in the window side.
I was terrified for years-- I think fear of flying is about being out of control so what I did was to do deep breathing, listen to music, and consciously focus on sending good vibes to the pilot, all of which gave me the feeling of being more in control and guess what-- it worked. I will never be totally happy on a plane, but at least I get on one and get to my destination without white knuckles these days.
