How can I convince my child to go to rehab without sounding like im judging him, lecturing, nagging.
Is there a right way and a wring way to approach him on this subjest. He uses methamphetimines and opiates and was recently kicked out of the home because if the trouble the addiction has caused. Hes 23 and homeless. Please give me your best advice and helo. Thank You
It's not going to help, in my experience, to go to rehab if the person doesn't truly want to be there. Nobody is ever going to convince someone to stop using drugs with words of persuasion. A body has to want to stop.
You could offer that he could come back home after he gets out though, I reckon. A person always needs a place to live.
A person is only going to get clean if they want to get clean. There is very little you can do or say to convince him. It usually takes being very along and hitting bottom before they realize they need to make a change.
My mother crashed her car and went to jail before she realized she needed rehab for her alcoholism.

Many Christians insist that it is their duty to judge and they end up judging everyone about everything....

Morally, we understand that judging others is a sin, but is it still a sin when we judge silently? We have been taught that when we let judgment of others roll off our tongue, we have committed a great sin. However, we all have opinions! Some, we keep in our heads and to ourselves. ...

How can one be assertive without sounding arrogant? How can we teach this to a child?Quite frequently people get confused about the difference and interpret assertiveness as arrogance when listening. Similarly the communicators become arrogant instead of being assertive. This is very subtle...
