About 48,000 IVF babies are born each year only in the United States. I bet that they are many woman facing psychological problems going trough in vitro. After few implantation failures and finally pregnancy does that effect there attachment to the child?
I can't speak from experience, but I would guess it makes that child all the more special. The best things in life are the things we have to work to accomplish.
As for the true biological argument, some of my best role models in my life weren't even related to me. Our heart desires nurture and love, regardless of biological connectivity.
That being said, I don't know if I would ever intentionally tell the child. I can't see anything good resulting from it.
